A Rhyming Good Deal for Fall, Y'all!

Hello Friends!

I'm so happy to be here to share my favorite way to build reading and writing skills!

I love to include daily rhyming activities in my language arts lessons, and use quality literature and music to engage and interest my students.  The rhythm and rhyme of the text and lyrics allows them to develop an "ear" to hear the familiar ending sounds, and this phonemic awareness then helps them learn how to change the beginning sounds to create new words.

Horn becomes thorn,  fall becomes tall, and race becomes face!  Suddenly, they are proud "Word Wizards" and cannot wait to have a rhyming good time during our Word Work and Writer's Workshop sessions!

This 46-page resource includes 32 printable pages, as well as suggested literature links, musical moments, and brain breaks!  It also provides teacher tips on how to use the materials to differentiate and meet the individual needs of students in grades K-2.    A preview and product description is available {HERE}

Thank you in advance for your patronage and support of my store!  I hope that your school year is off to a great start!  Mine has been a little overwhelming, to say the least.  You'd think after 25 years of working with young children, it would get easier?!  I will continue to keep calm and carry on though, and  I trust that you will do the same!  Know that I encourage you to follow your dreams, share your story, hold a song in your heart, and teach your children well!
