Rockin' My Dolch Words!

Happy Monday!
It's Sarah from A Sunny Day in First Grade!

This month's dollar deal is a SUPER steal!!!!
I'm so excited to tell you about my Dolch word pack!!!

This pack has EVERYTHING you need to help your kids learn their Dolch words.
It also has everything YOU need to keep track of who knows what. :)

Your kids will be rockin' their Dolch words! :)
(and you'll feel a little more organized!)

When I created them, I found a site that listed the words by frequency.
So I made the lists based on that.

I broke the words up into groups or 7 or 8.
There are a few lists that have 9.
So in all, there are 28 mini lists.
Each week (or however often you'd like) each kiddo gets a new list.
The lists come in color and black & white.

You can send the lists home.
You can make little books out of them.
The kids can read them with a buddy.
You can hang them up around the room to practice.
There are lots of ways to use them!

There are also flashcards that correspond with each mini list.
Each page of flashcards is labeled with the list number and the Dolch words list it belongs to.

Just copy them and have the kids cut them out!
You can send them home in baggies, use a brass fastener, or attach them to a ring.
I'm going to have them keep one set at school and another at home.

There is also a game board for each Dolch list, just for a little extra practice.

Now for the teacher-y part of the pack!
Obviously, all of this needed a cute binder to keep everything in order.
I included a few different color options!
(spines are included too!!!)

In my binder, I have individual recording sheets for all 28 mini lists.
Each one is labeled with the list number and the Dolch list is corresponds to.
I included LOTS of columns on them.
The old assessment lists I used only had a few boxes and it got super duper messy!
Check marks and x's everywhere.
Messy.  Super messy.
I don't like messy! ;)

Then there is a class recording sheet.
Here you can keep track of where each student is!
Just write the date the kids were tested, the list they were on, and their percentage.
You can include their overall score for the Dolch list they're working on.
OR you can use the mini list number.
I have a page for both. :)

 **these are not real scores**

Last, but not least, are the award pages.
Give these to your kids when they've completed a Dolch list! :)

I also added in a set of bracelets for even more practice!
The bracelets correspond with each list. :)

Are you ready for your kids to build fluency and rock their Dolch words?! :)
Grab it while it's only $1!!!!!

High Frequency Words

HI THERE!  It's Shanon from OCD in First!  I hope that you guys are getting back into the groove of school!

Are you kiddos struggling with high frequency words? Are they struggling with fluency?  If so, this product might help you out.

WORD FLUENCY!

I've created a 36-week long curriculum that has 10-15 sight words each week for our students to learn. So with those words, I created games for the students to play to build fluency.  We have our game boards with sentences that are fill in the blank with the words, we have fluency strips to practice the sentences, we have flash cards to practice the words, we have I have, Who Has games to practice the words, and we have Build a Sentence to practice our words.

In Build a Sentence, students have word cards in a pile.  They also have an envelope that tells them each sentence they have to build. One student reads the sentence, while the other student tries to find the words to build the sentence.  Two groups are usually playing, and they are racing to see who can finish all of their sentences first.

Here are some of the items I have as print and go.  We use these for daily assessments, homework, and "seat work".  There are many different levels and a ton of different ways for students to practice their words.

This product also comes with all the words for the week to use on your word wall.  There are several different backgrounds to help match with your classroom.

Students love CAN YOU BEAT YOUR SCORE!  For this activity, students time themselves or their partners with the words.  As they go, they try to beat their previous score.

Students also love our Fluency Strips.   For this, students work with a partner.  One partner pretends to "Be the Teacher" and times the other student on how many strips they can read correctly in one minute.  Then they switch.  This was GREAT for building speed!

To introduce the words, we also do a ppt with Elkonin boxes, and the kiddos love the ppt!!

This will be ONLY $1.00 for THREE DAYS!

Sight Word Bracelets

Hi everyone! I'm Rachel from 2nd Grade Rock Stars. Its great to be back at Teacher Deals and Dollar Steals. Today I am bringing you a new dollar deal on sight word bracelets.

I don't know about you, but my kids always need to practice their sight words. They absolutely love to wear the words. It is so cute to see my kiddos running around showing each other the new word of the week. The best part of the sight word bracelets is that it is so easy to differentiate for all of your students. You can give your struggling students one word a week, while your more proficient students can have two words a week. You can differentiate in so many different ways!

I have 3 different sets of the Dolch sight words on sale for $1 for the next 3 days!

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi. Don't forget to check out tomorrow's dollar deal.

Out of This World Teacher Deal and Dollar Steal

Hi everyone. This is Diamond Mom. It is my turn again to give you a Teacher Deal. This month I am featuring my Solar System Dolch Sight Words. My kids love to play bingo and other games with the sight words, so I try to change up the themes as we study different topics.
Space is such a fascinating topics for kids. I chose to use the different planets for these cards. They like being able to identify the planets as well as the sight words.
This set will be available for 3 days for just $1.00. If you like them, check out some of my other themes.
