I Love Math Games!

Hi Everyone it's Emily from Emmy Mac's Class!

The snow coming down right now is really pretty. I'm only saying that because I'm inside and I don't live in Buffalo. We are expecting about 15 cm, so about 6 inches.

This month's Dollar Steal is my Fraction Slap it! If you are looking for a fun and active way for students to practice naming fractions. Then this is your game!

Kim from Splish! Splash! Mrs Lander's Class was super sweet for letting me use her pictures. Kim used my Dollar Steal in her classroom last year and the kids had so much fun.

What I love about math games is that students can play them independently, which frees me up to work with small groups!

To take a closer look at some of my other fraction games that Kim used in her class HOP on over to her page and check out her blog post!

Have Your Kiddos Played Bump yet?

Hi everyone! It's Emily from Emmy Mac's Class.

This month I wanted to share one of my students' absolute favourite game!

It is super easy to set up and play. All you need is a game board, dice, and Unifix cubes or other stacking manipulatives.

How to play: Usually, my kiddos play in pairs but today they played in groups of three.

Players take turns rolling the dice.

They add the dice together.

Then put their coloured cube on top of the correct number.

If a player rolls the dice and their is already an opponents coloured cube on that number they "BUMP" it off.

If a player rolls the dice and he or she already has a cube on that number, they build a tower and "Freeze" that number. If an opponent rolls that number, he or she misses a turn.

The first player to place all of their cubes on the board is the winner!

My students LOVE this game so much that they cheer whenever they get to play it.

Pick up Polar Bump for $1!!!!

Or get the Bump Bundle for $3!!!!

Remember these deals are only available for three days!!!

Thanks for checking out my dollar deal.
