Hey friends!
It's Keri from Enchanted Kinder Garden. This month, I just whipped up a new version of my frame game for the month of November.
My kids have been rocking ten frames lately and I wanted to encourage them to use them even more for this month. Kids love themed activities, right?
There is two ways to play this version of Frame Game. I've provided two recording sheets. You could always just make one recording sheet and slide it into a sheet protector. Your kiddos could use a dry erase marker to work with (saves you paper and copies).
For my kids that still need help writing their numbers, I tell them to pull a turkey ten frame. They have to count how many and then write that number on their recording sheet.
When I use a sheet protector, it is always great that we use our iPads to keep a digital portfolio of our work. Every time we are finished with any work, we take a picture on our iPads. I am lucky enough to have 1:1 iPads in my classroom.
For my kids that are having trouble producing a ten frame, I allow them to pull a number and then make it on their recording sheet.
This set is $1.00 for today and the next three days! I hope you all have an amazingly wonderful Thanksgiving break!!!!

Sound Sort Chant
Hey friends!
It's Keri from Enchanted Kinder Garden. I've had such a slow start to the school year this year and part of that is because of a TON of changes we've had. It seems that we've got more work to do and less time to do it in. Sound familiar? Well, I was thinking about a month back about how I could easily incorporate sound sorts into our whole group and let it be FUN and meaningful all at the same time. I came up with this game.
This beginning sound activity focuses on the first sound that we hear. The chant/song that we sing reminds them of the letter and we have to look for a picture that matches that sound. We've started using DIBELS at my school again this year and any little bit of extra practice with first sound fluency will help us in the long run.
It goes like this:
Big "letter", little "letter" come on down
Let's find a picture to match your sound.
I give the kids some pictures to choose from below the chant. We started off with just one chant and found those. Then, I used two and only pictures with both of those sounds. We've now moved on to sorting two or more sounds and having pictures that don't belong below as well. It helps us keep more than just the sounds of the week current. We still discuss the sounds of the cards that are below and we all say each of the words as they are chosen.
My kids have NEVER been so engaged in sound sorting before. I've done this same EXACT game before without the chant and it's been totally different. The song/chant gives the class something to do as a student is either walking up to find a picture or pulling a picture from the chart. They turn around and show it to the entire class. We said the picture together and then let that student place it where they think it goes. If it's not under either of those, we give a thumb sideways. That's our nice way of saying that we need to check our answer.

My kids have started to ask for this during word work. I didn't plan for this to be something that they used during word work simply because it's so quick and they will finish really quickly. However, I started placing a bucket with the sound cards and pictures to match only a few sounds in a bucket. If I have students that want to play this during their word work time, they can either use the cards we've used during the week that are already in the pocket chart or they can take out other cards and sort those as well. They just get the other cards out of the bucket. Super easy.
They manage this all by themselves. It's one of those things that I didn't think much about and some way or another it turned into a huge HIT in our classroom.
If you'd like this super quick and easy sound sort to practice initial sounds with your kids, grab it for only $1.00 for the next THREE days. Be sure to pin it to remember or go ahead and add it to your cart now to remind you.

Math Labels and more!
Hey friends!!! It's Keri from Enchanted Kinder Garden.
I'm dropping in today with my dollar steal for September. I posted a picture on instagram about a month ago and everyone wanted me to post these! I made them for one of my other coworkers in white and for myself in gray. If you're looking to organize math manipulatives or to organize your classroom, I've got the PERFECT set of labels for you!
THEY. LOOK. AMAZING.
I originally wanted to make new labels to make my book labels which are gray. After I told one of my teammies that I was making some, she wanted a white version.
I seriously love them so much. Since so many people asked, I added them to my store. I also have added to them TWICE. I am taking suggestions as long as it's something that many people will be able to benefit from.
Here's Megan's white labels. I have pictures of the gray on my Classroom Reveal post on my blog.
The great thing? You can get either set for the NEXT three days for only ONE dollar. Interested in a different color? Email me at brownk1125@gmail.com and I'll make a set for you.
Pin now, so you'll remember to check them out later. :-) Happy Saturday!

Letter recognition
Hey friends! It’s Keri from Enchanted Kinder Garden. I’m back with
another three days of dollar deals! This month, it’s all about the alphabet!
I just finished up a really cool bundle ALL about letters. I
am so excited to get this all laminated and printed out for the beginning of
the year.
Choose Me may be my favorite of my newest set. This game includes 52 mats for identifying lowercase and uppercase letters. A dry erase marker can be used to circle the correct answers. You could also use counters to cover up the correct letters.
Two optional recording sheets are included. Uppercase letters can be colored, circled or daubed blue. All lowercase letters should be marked with red. An optional QR code is included for students to check their answers.
Just a side note: I’ve decided to begin making sets that are
not themed. I’ve noticed, in the past two years, that I’ve been wanting
activities to use with some of my strugglers or my kids that are just getting
it and need more, but everything that I own is SEASONAL!
If you'd like to check out the entire bundle, here it is! It includes over 190 pages of resources simply about the letters.

Spring into Literacy {Keri from Enchanted Kinder Garden}
Hey friends!!!!!
Am I the only person counting down the days until the end of school? Today's my last day of spring break... however, it ended yesterday because I had to work at our Strawberry Festival this morning. It's always good to see kids outside of school and with their families. It makes me even more excited to know that summer is near!
With that being said, tomorrow we are going to be using EVEN more of my Spring has Sprung Math and Literacy resource during our Daily 5 word work and with our math workshops. For that reason alone, I've decided to make my dollar deal this month all about that literacy!!!
So far, my kids are LOVING the cvc and cvce puzzles. The simply match up the pictures/letters to form a word. They can record the words that they made on an optional recording sheet.
Write the room is always another favorite. We actually started calling this one WRECK the room instead. I absolutely love it since I've gotten tired of hearing the other. All of the words are spring themed. This is also GREAT to us when they are writing. My kiddos are able to roam the room any time throughout our day. They use these words during write to self and their writing workshop.
Switch 'N Fix is my favorite game that they played before spring break. They read/look at the picture. Read the word and have to figure out which letter is incorrect. On the recording sheet, they color in B, M, or E and then write the correct letter. Of course, this wasn't good enough for my kids. They asked if they could just write the entire correct word. OF COURSE.
We have word family mats to write word families. Laminate and then use with a dry erase marker OR slide into a page protector.
Also included in this set is resources to work on syllables, write on/wipe off cards for spelling practice, and digraphs.
For the next THREE days, this resource is MARKED DOWN $4. Get it for ONLY one dollar. Don't forget to pin it, share it on fb, and tell a few kindergarten or first grade teachers! Don't forget, I'm here on the 12th of EVERY month with a great dollar deal for you!

Weather Craftivity
Hey friends! It's Keri from Enchanted Kinder Garden.
I recently made a little craftivity for my kids to go with our weather unit. I thought this would be the perfect resource to mark down for my teacher deal and dollar steal this month!
Each little weather person has matching hands and feet to either draw a picture or write describing words to go with it.
Grab this Weather People craft for $1 for the next 3 days!

Yes, I realize our raindrop is upside down. :-)
Each little weather person has matching hands and feet to either draw a picture or write describing words to go with it.
The cloud is my favorite! We will make him next week when we cover the types of clouds.
Here's my kids' rain person. They wrote things like rain jackets, rain boots, rainbow (I thought that was a great one. We didn't even talk about after rain it makes rainbows), wet, clear... There are so many ideas that they can come up with.
Grab this Weather People craft for $1 for the next 3 days!
