No More Treasure Box!

Hey everyone!  My name is Angie Olson and I am the blogger/TpT author over at Lucky Little Learners.  I'm so excited to be a collaborator here on Teacher Deals and Dollar Steals. 

As a new school year has started for some of you or is nearly approaching for others, I want to show you how I handle classroom management in my classroom.  Over the past ten years, I have spent so much of my own money on various things for my students, including items for the treasure box.  I know that I am not alone here, can I get an AMEN?  I got tired of dumping money into something that seemed like an endless battle so I knew I had to find something else that would work to motivate my students!  Introducing...BRAG TAGS!

Seriously, these little gems have saved on my pocket book and I have found that my students work harder to earn these than any treasure box item I have ever purchased!  Here's how they work.  Print the pages that work for you and your students, laminate, cut, and hole punch the top of the tag.  Each student needs to have a necklace chain of their own.  I tell my students that I expect good behavior but if I notice EXEMPLARY behavior, I may choose to reward him/her with a BRAG TAG.  They continue to earn BRAG TAGS throughout the school year and by the end of the year they are so excited to take these necklaces home!  Here is how I organize and store them.

I have since added many more BRAG TAGS than you see pictured above.  I have also changed out some clip art and fonts to make them even cuter!  Take a look!
