Show A Little Book Love-Spruce Up Your Classroom Library!

Hello my friends!  It's Jennifer from  Stories and Songs in Second Grade  here!

Long time no see!  I've been away from this page most of the summer, so thanks for your patience! July was a whirlwind tour for me with trips to Vegas, Chicago, and the Mazza Museum--a magical place in Findlay, Ohio where original artwork from honored children's book illustrators hangs in cozy, welcoming galleries.  It was my time at Mazza this summer that inspired a makeover of my classroom library poster sets.  Hopefully, they will help me showcase some of the new books I acquired at the conference, as well as spotlight some familiar favorites.

My classroom library is not leveled...or color-coded...or carded...or numbered.  My bins are not all the same size or color.  My collection of beloved picture and chapter books is sorted and displayed by topic, author, genre, units of study, and theme.  The books are read, loved, discussed, loved some more, and read again.  I know that it is not everyone's "cup of tea," but it works for me and my students.

My two featured resources this week were created for use as either poster in and around your classroom "book nook" in full-page letter size, or can be printed two per page and used as book bin labels.

My  newest pack of posters/labels has a bright color scheme and is on sale for $1.00 through
this Thursday, Aug. 13th!

You can see it {HERE} in my TpT store!

I am in the process of  attaching my set of labels to bins with velcro strips/dots
so that I can change them out monthly.  I plan to use binder rings on the
my bigger book baskets.  I am also going to use plastic photo frames in either
8 x 10 or 5 x 7 size for countertop book collections.

If a black-and white vintage color scheme would match your room decor, you might like this set
that is on sale for $1.00 through Thursday, August 13th also!

It includes some fun, old-fashioned "Newsies"-style clip art and "Read All About It!"
posters that are  just too cute!

See it {HERE} in my TpT store!

Last but not least, as a token of my gratitude for helping me grow my blog, social media reach, and
TpT store this summer, I invite you to grab this
FREE Focus Wall set over
on my blog!

There is also a black-and-white Focus Wall pack that only features READING and MATH headers
in my store!  It is also a FREEBIE!

You can find it in my TpT store

Thank you in advance for leaving thoughtful feedback!

May your students always "look to the books" and let these guidepost signs
lead them to magical places!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

May your school year be full of good music, good times, good stories, and good rhymes!

Warm Regards,
~Jennifer
