Here is a great way to start students handwriting off on the right foot, plus work on school related words and vocabulary at the same time.
It's my Back to School Handwriting Scoot.
This works just like regular Scoot, where students move from numbered card to numbered card with their recording sheet. But instead of having to answer a question on the card, they just have to copy the word on the card in their very best handwriting. I usually do an incentive of the top three handwriting sheets get some sort of prize.
I've included Zaner Bloser and D'nealian style lettering and it has 24 practice words.
I knowwww the year just ended, but it's never too early to start gathering resources for the first few weeks of school, right???
