Handwriting Scoot

Hi! Amna here from Teach Two Reach: 2nd Grade Happenings.

Handwriting Scoot you say? I get super sick and tired with the lack of handwriting effort now a days..ESPECIALLY when I know students have better handwriting than what they showcase in assignments. So a few months ago I came up with Handwriting Scoot. It's a fun, engaging, way to practice handwriting skills, while covering seasonal or themed vocabulary words. The game plays like Scoot - where you move through numbered cards with your recording sheet, and you have to write the word on the card accurately and as neat as possible. I make it a competition and choose the top 2 boys and top 2 girls. But the best part is, that when a student decides to whip up his latest assignment with horrible handwriting, I pull out the Scoot sheet and ask if that looks like THAT, and if not..then go back and re-do it.. :)

Today on sale I have the Thanksgiving themed words and the fall themed words sets on sale for a dollar.  The sets come with both Zaner Bloser style words and D'nealian style words. There are a total of 24 cards. Click on the pictures below to take you to the deal that will stay for three days.

Thanks! Bye!
