Scootin' into the New Year

Here is a fun review game of three parts of speech (nouns, verbs, and adjectives). A perfect way to start the new year, refreshing your kids' memories ;)

We love to use scoots (or "roam the rooms"), when we are reviewing subjects we already know! Don't know how it works? Read the directions here (this can be used as a scoot around the room, a center, or a whole group activity).

Sounds fun right? My students LOVE these. I made two different recording sheets for differentiation.

Christmas Parts of Speech

Hello friends! I hope you're having a fabulous December and the littles aren't too out of control yet. I know that time of year is coming where all thoughts are snow, hot cocoa, and presents. Here's a little activity that gets the kiddies moving while still learning. It's my Walk & Solve Christmas Parts of Speech.

The great thing about this activity is once you put the cards up around your classroom, you can leave them there for a few weeks. There are 4 different answer sheets that go along with these sentences!

 There is an answer sheet for nouns, adjectives, verbs, and proper nouns.

 Yippey for less work in this busy month! 

The kids are moving around the room while identifying different parts of speech!

Parts of Speech Task Cards by Schroeder Shenanigans in 2nd

Parts of Speech Scoots and More!

Hey everyone! Cassie here from Mrs. Thomas's Class! 

I have been so invisible in this blogging world the last few weeks. Back to school WIPES ME OUT! Especially being in a new grade level, with a whole new curriculum, totally new schedule, etc. etc. etc. ;) I did start the new year realizing my 3rd grade babies needed some serious refresher in parts of speech, so I cooked this up real quick. *Pun intended* :) 

Included in this pack is scoots, task cards, and write the room. 

I had to introduce to my kiddos even how to play scoot, so then I also created to where they can go from seat to seat or around the room with these cards.

Everything in here has black and white AND color task cards with an answer sheet!
