Scootin' into the New Year

Hello! Jen from Sparkling in Second  here :) I hope you are all starting on your break VERY soon! Make sure to take advantage of this deal while you relax this weekend ;)

Here is a fun review game of three parts of speech (nouns, verbs, and adjectives). A perfect way to start the new year, refreshing your kids' memories ;)

We love to use scoots (or "roam the rooms"), when we are reviewing subjects we already know! Don't know how it works? Read the directions here (this can be used as a scoot around the room, a center, or a whole group activity).

Sounds fun right? My students LOVE these. I made two different recording sheets for differentiation.

16 task cards are included, here are two samples:

Snowman Riddles Craftivity and Writing Template

Hey guys!  It's Angie from Lucky Little Learners and I'm back with a great $1.00 deal!  I don't know about you but we've got parent teacher conferences just around the corner and when my families come in for their conference, it is important to me that there is something really impressive on our bulletin board outside of our classroom.  Not only do I want it cute but I also want it to showcase their learning and, if possible, make it interactive.  With all of this in mind, I came up with this little craftivity that your students and families are sure to love...SNOWMAN RIDDLES!
http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Snowman-Riddles-Craftivity-Writing-Templates-1654826
Your students will each create their own snowman with their name on the body.  This product includes a snowman template.  The hat, scarf, face, arms, and buttons are something that your students will get creative with on their own!  These get hung up after day one.  On day two my students get a pre writing planning sheet and write down adjectives that describe each area of their snowman.

By the way, if you are wondering what the "snow" is made of that the snowmen are standing on...mix Elmer's "drippy" glue and shaving cream (equal parts) and then paint it onto the paper.  I added some blue glitter because who doesn't love a little bit of glitter!

Then on day three, my students took their adjectives and put them into complete sentences to create riddles.  These riddles are then hung up underneath the snowmen.  Each snowman is labeled with a number (also included) so that the parents can guess which riddle belongs to which snowman.  The correct answers are written on the inside of each riddle.  I promise that these will be a hit!  Grab this $1.00 deal today as this is only a temporary discount!
